WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in development (must have)
  • Java/Spring framework
  • Jdbc, orm
  •  Junit, cucumber, gherkin, mock frameworks
  •  Front end technologies: angular, js, html, freemarker
  • Application servers like tomcat (native + springboo), and weblogic
  • Experience using common java design patterns
  • Capable of producing highly useable UXs
  • Familiar with microservice design
  • Lightweight communications methods like REST over HTTP
  • Container technologies (docker, kubernetes, openshift)
  • Web security technologies like single sign on, and oauth2

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Server Administration (RedHat Linux)
  • System Engineering/Administration troubleshooting skills (strace, etc)
  • Shell scripting
  • In depth knowledge of setting up Clustering, HA/DR configuration and related troubleshooting
  • Storage (SAN/NAS/NFS)
  • Networking (F5, load balancing, GTM)
  • OS level Performance monitoring, turning and capacity analysis
  • Good knowledge of at least two monitoring tools to setup up/configure necessary OS level and app level monitoring and alerting
  • Strong hands on knowledge of system security, compliance, hardening systems to close any audit/compliance related issues
  • The resource may have to work on weekend or after hours and act as next level of escalation for troubleshooting and resolving any CRITAL/PROD issues
  • Good understanding and background on supporting CI tool chain in entire SDLC (Dev/Test/PROD and DR) environment
  • Postgresql & rep manager experience are major pluses
  • Strong/Hands-on knowledge of CI Tools administration (must Gitlab, Jenkins, artifactory) (very nice to have)
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure (nice to have)

Soft Skills:

  • Clear communications, verbal and writtenMust be a self-starter, capable of driving to an outcome/resolution
