WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

The University Relations Recruiter is primarily responsible for locating, identifying, ranking, evaluating, and screening talent for presentation and recommendation to Hiring Managers. This individual assesses qualifications, manages job offer process, and secures on boarding process completion. To accomplish this, the University Relations Recruiter must build strategic relationships; act as a trusted advisor to business partners. This person will need to build relationships and networks for talent. The University Relations Recruiter will collaborate directly with business partners on talent market and process tracking metrics.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Extends and negotiates offers of employment. Handles several aspects of the recruitment process including: job requisition design, sourcing, and screening.
  • Reviews student applicants, resumes, and other credentials. Conducts phone screens and in person interviews. Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews. Provides timely follow up and correspondence.
  • Oversees pre-employment checks, compliance, and on-boarding aspects of the recruitment process.
  • Serving as a point of contact for hiring managers regarding recruiting and advising hiring managers on job postings and the marketing of jobs.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates to generate a high-volume, high-quality pipeline of candidates under tight timelines for multiple hiring managers

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of experience in Recruiting
  • Ability to work independently in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal and external relationships
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Knowledge of recruitment trends and technology
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to collaborate virtually is a must
  • Experience with corporate IT recruiting
  • 2+ years of related experience preferred
  • Experience with campus specific sourcing methods a plus
  • Event Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting in a corporate environment is preferred
  • Ability to travel and recruit at campus events is a must
