LOCATION:
  • Greater Charlotte/Hickory, North Carolina Area

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Identify, create, and prepare training for 600+ manufacturing, plant-level employees
  • Develop course materials for continuous On-The-Job, classroom and e-learning modules
  • Actively participate in safety corrective actions that identify training as a need. 
  • Champion employee empowerment to identify and address concerns. 
  • Identify training needs through analysis of data and create training solutions to those needs. 
  • Responsible for the regimented training program to improve and accelerate training effectiveness companywide. 
  • Identify and communicate training issues to management and other stakeholders; Assist in resolution of issues. 
  • Maintain ISO compliant training records within facility.
  • Ensure new processes and procedures are effectively communicated and appropriate required documentation obtained. 
  • Partner with the Operations function to ensure appropriate training of new hires 
  • Coach and develop plant trainers/subject matter experts on effective, hands-on processes (train the trainer)
  • Effectively interact with the all internal functional job levels and other resources in order to maximize the effectiveness of the training function. 
  • Develop on-site training and certification processes for each job function based on position requirements.
  • Prepare training schedules by coordinating instructors, classrooms and locations.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other related function
  • 2+ years’ experience in a training role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience implementing a training program from the ground up utilizing On-the-Job, classroom, and e-learning
  • Experience with Learning Management System, Cornerstone OnDemand preferred
  • Certified Six Sigma (Green or Black) Belt preferred
