WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • Big Flats, NY

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Support the design, acceptance, installation and validation of large scale manufacturing process equipment, per GAMP (good automated manufacturing practices)
  • Gather and compile equipment design requirements to generate the user requirements specification
  • Monitor the project life cycle, update the user requirements specification, if needed, generate the functional requirements specifications, and based on the final design, generate the machine acceptance documents
  • Create, write and edit operational, instructional, and maintenance documents required for the operation and support of the process and process equipment
  • Conduct interviews with users and technical staff to gather data for documentation
  • Research and translate technical information into manuals for nontechnical users
  • Verify document content on actual machine, confirming actions and responses are correct
  • Manage library of support documents and interface with the Quality department to ensure compliance to CPT and GAMP requirements
  • Produce products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards
  • Utilize existing templates and recommends format improvements to meet technical and customer requirements
  • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Associate’s degree required
  • 5+ years of dedicated technical writing experience in a "high" technology setting
  • Experience with GAMP and/or documentation of new equipment builds and installation in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable working in a team environment where it is necessary to proactively solicit input and feedback from users and stakeholders
  • Familiar with process automation equipment, including HMI's, PC interfaces, and instrumentation used to operate a large manufacturing process machine
