THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY
• Develop and execute selling and policy decisions so as to achieve planned sales objectives. Proactively sell accounts and perform calling campaigns aimed at meeting the overall objectives of the sales and marketing teams
• Execute sales strategies and sell the assigned products so effectively that the Company’s market position is increased. Develop, continuously improve and apply superior knowledge and skills to this selling task
• Develop, increase and maintain excellent customer relations via telephone, fax and e-mail with occasional field travel
• Plan and organize time, routing and methods so that selling skills are operating against sales objectives with maximum effectiveness, including maintenance of a satisfactory call rate frequency and continuous progress analysis 
• Execute the inbound inquiry and selling phase of the Company marketing programs as assigned
• Cooperate with Marketing Managers and Sales Managers on activities leading to increased profitable sales. Recommend marketing programs and policies to achieve Company objectives
• Utilize sales automation software to track and plan calls, to capture customer history, needs, competitive activity, target build, forecasts, recommendations and provide reporting and territory planning
• Receive purchase orders via fax, telephone, email, e-business, mail etc. Verify accuracy of order details, correct as necessary and enter and maintain customer orders
• Answer customer inquiries relating to order status, shipping/delivery dates, carrier, pro number, pricing, terms, conditions and renegotiations 
• Utilize Company’s ERP for order entry, research, customer management and answering customer inquiries 
• Proactively suggest enhancements and changes that will positively affect the service level that the customer is receiving

DESIRED PROFILE/BACKGROUND
• Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Previous experience in outgoing telephone sales to include cold calling is a plus 
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment a plus
• Excellent PC skills to include word processing and excel spreadsheet and email capabilities
