WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Producing high quality software and design for development and manufacturing systems.
  • Conducting practical debugging and troubleshooting in complex applications, maintain existing code base.
  • Following best practices and processes to develop a large variety of software solutions.
  • Documenting and performing thorough unit and functional testing, seek reviews from peers and customers.
  • Capture and document algorithms and system knowledge from code implementation.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
  • Function as a team member on multiple projects.
  • Software owner for instrumentation and measurement system(s), responsibilities include:
  • Assure correct implementation of operation, motion, analysis, and data flow of measurement systems
  • Provide software expertise, apply with hardware understanding, and integrate into measurement systems
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and debugging
  • Enhance and optimize existing code
  • Implement algorithms, functions, and methods, under engineer’s guidance
  • Maintain and upgrade existing software packages with version control
  • Software receiver for development programs. Provide key link on measurement systems from early stage design through manufacturing.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor of Science in computer engineering/science, or an engineering discipline with strong software skills.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Track record of delivering results
  • Experience working in teams
