WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs
  • Collaborate with IT and Business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end to end technical solutions
  • Perform coding to written technical specifications
  • Test the resulting components in accordance with company standards and as defined in approved testing plans
  • Investigate, analyze and document reported defects – reporting issues as appropriate
  • Analyze run time profiles to debug errors that may exist
  • Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
  • Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
  • Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates that meet SDLC standards
  • Participate in scrum events: Daily Stand up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • BS / BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related technical area
  • Technical Skills Required: Java, Oracle, Hibernate, Spring Optional: Cassandra, Red, Elastic Search, Experience with Eagle/Star
  • 6-8 years of experience working as an application developer in the financial services industry
  • Experienced in Scrum or other agile development methodologies
  • Able to work evenings and weekends to support production releases and break fix
  • Travel will be required to the West Coast for training and knowledge transfer
  • The ideal candidate with be eligible for hire in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Excellent communications skills
