WHERE IS THIS POSITION LOCATED:

  • Charlotte, NC
     

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work closely with the VP of IT and other senior leadership to determine project direction, scope and budget.
  • Lead more junior teammates and provide mentorship as needed. 
  • Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure plan.
  • Manage/oversee and ensure testing and evaluation of new hardware and software technologies as needed.
  • Have full grasp and effective troubleshooting skills on PC architecture, PC support, Server support, Microsoft Windows Workstation and Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows version 7/8.1/10, Office 2013-2016, Mac OS X, and Anti-Virus tools
  • Knowledge of VMWare, Hyper-V, and VDI virtual environments

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Ipv4/v6 Routing Protocols (RIPv1/v2/v3, OSPFv2/v3, VRRP, MPLS, BGP, PIM, etc.) 
  • Layer2 Switching (802.1Q, 802.1D, 801.x) 
  • Practical knowledge of networking technologies, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, NAT, DMVPN and routing protocols
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI, SAFE network design, network lifecycle, network analysis and troubleshooting techniques 
  • Knowledge of Windows Server versions 2012r2 & 2016 is preferred   
  • A+ Certification, Security+, and/or Network+ Certification a plus 
  • Ability to lead simultaneous, complex, multi-functional projects 
  • Working evenings and weekends are required on a rotational basis
