WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions and processes, gathering information, and documenting findings
  • Translate business partner needs into epics / user stories that can be digested by developers
  • Write Agile user stories with acceptance criteria and definition of done
  • Manage scrum team backlog
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams
  • Identify data required for user stories and document data locations
  • Lead grooming sessions
  • Act as liaison between Product Owner / business partners / end users, and technical developers
  • Lead daily scrum call when Scrum Master is unavailable
  • Keep user stories updated with latest information as questions are answered and understanding is refined
  • Identify product success metrics and set up post-delivery tracking of metrics
  • Support testing of application by clarifying user story details and acceptance criteria as testing unfolds
  • Understand and communicate the impact of any changes to requirements / user stories
  • Ensure that wireframes and product prototypes accurately align to user stories
  • Represent the voice of the Product Owner / business partner in design sessions

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Proven Business Analyst experience (at least 5-10 years) in an Agile project environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to project success and affect change without being confrontational
  • BA experience within the financial services industry
  • Experience with regular, cyclical production release cycles
  • Occasional travel for 2-3 day offsite meetings (2-3 times a year)
  • Weekend hours required (4-6 times a year)
  • Scaled Agile / SAFe certification is a strong differentiator
  • Full experience with Microsoft Office Suite
