WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Work Location: Onsite
  • Be a member of the fast-growing Manufacturing Software and Analytical Solutions group.
  • You will apply your manufacturing system development experience to work with customers to develop and implement data and information systems that collect, store, transfer, and display information from a manufacturing or control system. The overall purpose of these information systems is to improve operational and business decision to bring lasting value to the company.
  • Develop engineering solutions by creating new and modifying existing commercial off the shelf software applications, such as OSI PI.
  • Install, configure, monitor of PI-System servers, interfaces, tags, and user tools
  • Perform Administrative functions on OSI PI system across the company
  • Consult with equipment engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware, software, and operational and performance requirements of overall systems

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
 

  • BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering majors with strong software skills with 5-10 years of applicable experience
  • Curious and eager to improve manufacturing processes, technically savvy, and have an overwhelming desire to provide impactful and useful solutions.
  • Strong verbal skills are needed to interact with customer to gather, define, and analyze system requirements and business processes.
  • Technical curiosity will help when troubleshooting complex applications problems or other engineering problems that may have a significant impact on the business.
