WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • Waxdale, WI

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead strategic sourcing process for select categories of spend to include development of Request for Proposals (RFPs) through Contracting
  • Analyze and contribute to the development and implementation of cost savings opportunities.
  • Support supplier negotiations.
  • Spend analysis
  • Research and analyze industry development and trends, best practices and internal data.
  • Interview and confer with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities
  • Support and involve stakeholders as needed
  • Support management of supplier relationships and performance
  • Support the development of category strategies
  • Other procurement activities as needed

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Education: BS/BA Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business or Finance
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a procurement organization supporting strategic sourcing for direct categories.
  • Sourcing experience with packaging categories a plus
  • Strong analytical skills esp. MS Excel.
  • Strong ability to not only generate data and reports but analyze and interpret data identifying areas of focus.
  • Strong MS PowerPoint skills – should be able to present analysis using PowerPoint for executive review. Strong business acumen and problem solving
  • Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of an organization internally and externally
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude focused on personal growth and contribution
  • Self-starter – able to work independently with a sense of urgency.
  • Flexibility on work times. Contractor shall cover the European time zones; so, may require early morning emails/calls from home.
  • Regular business hours are 8am-5pm M-F; however, may be required to be on calls as early as 6am to interact with stakeholders/suppliers in European time zone.
