  • Based on project quotation and design specification you will be responsible for organizing, designing, and detailed automation equipment used on CNC Lathes. Technically support design and support personnel as necessary to meet design timeline.
  • Plan, research, design and develop customized machine automation to meet both specific project requirements and expanded commonality of the Machine Tool automation as assigned by Engineering Management. Design to meet requirements established by sales order, our Standards, and engineering standards.
  • Analyze sales order/proposal and Customer requirements, specifications and prior projects to design customized device for assigned project.
  • Participate with team members on larger projects to deliver a quality project/device on time and on budget. Support Project Management and Purchasing as required to ensure timely delivery of project with correct components and services.
  • Schedule own work and work of engineers assigned to ensure completion dates and technical specifications are met as defined by the project order, design specification and other relevant documents. Provide time and material estimates as directed by Engineering Management.
  • Create, manage, and maintain technical documentation for assigned tasks including, but not limited to, detail drawings, layouts, assembly drawings, bills of material, engineering specifications, and schematic diagrams.
  • Support design for manufacturing and Assembly activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.


  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • 5+ years’ experience in Automation or a Machine Tool related field.
  • SolidWorks EPMD and AutoCAD experience required.
  • Experienced in Pneumatic and hydraulic circuit design, rolling bearing design and selection (Linear & Rotary), rotating and transporting parts within the defined machine process.
  • Experienced in mechanical design and documentation including technical writing for instruction manuals.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
