WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • The position is responsible for participating in all phases of IT delivery lifecycle for applications (vended and proprietary) for the Multi-Asset Solutions business area
  • With a strong understanding of investment applications, processes, workflows and data required to support the Multi-Asset Solutions business area, this position is responsible for requirements/data analysis and overall solution/workflow design for applications spanning multiple asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives), investment data domains (Securities, Portfolios, Benchmarks, Prices, Holdings, Performance, Attribution and Analytics) and interfaces with applications in the Middle Office, Front Office, Compliance, Sales/Marketing, Risk/Valuations areas of the firm.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance/Business/Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Master’s degree or financial certifications (CFA, FRM, CAIA) an added plus
  • Minimum ten years of experience working as a hands-on Business Analyst and Project Manager in an IT organization within the Investment Management industry (preferably) or Financial Services industry
  • Strong understanding of investment data and multiple asset classes
  • Broad knowledge of IT, including experience in SDLC and Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Experience integrating data with FactSet or Bloomberg platform an added plus
  • Able to deal with ambiguity without getting frustrated and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Detail oriented, focused and a great team player
  • Excellent communication
  • Strong SQL background and familiarity with data modeling/data lake/data warehousing concepts required
  • Experience with a business intelligence tool (Tableau/OBIEE) an added plus
