WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:              

  • Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work on all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design and development, testing, deployment and post-deployment support activities
  • Perform coding based on written technical specifications using .NET platform tools, SQL Server and SSIS ETL technology
  • Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates that meet Nuveen SDLC standards
  • Test the resulting components in accordance with company standards and as defined in the approved testing plans
  • Actively participate in design review meetings with other Application Development team members
  • Analyze, design and develop changes to system batch processes as needed
  • Actively participate in team meetings and provide status updates on all assigned activities promptly

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field such as Computer Science or engineering
  • 7+ years of solid experience in design, development, testing and production support in real-world enterprise applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with team members located in multiple locations as well as independently based on the project needs and business requirements
  • Software architecture, design, development and testing experience on Microsoft technologies utilizing waterfall/agile methodologies
  • Experience with ETL tools like SSIS , Datastage and working knowledge of datawarehouse concepts
  • Experience with SQL Server and database modeling concepts
  • Experience with UI/UX design based development using Microsoft based technologies, AJAX and modern javascript MVC frameworks including but not limited to AngularJS & NodsJS
  • Experience with batch management tools such as Tivoli Work Scheduler (TWS) and/or Autosys
  • Knowledge of REST Web Services based development and SOA concepts
