WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Review and compile financial information into reporting statements
  • Load data into parent company systems and reconcile back to client’s support or reports
  • Identify, analyze and interpret financial trends or patterns in reporting data
  • Explain and/or correct variances that arise from that reporting
  • Ensure consistency of results across reporting templates
  • Compile, organize, maintain and update the Company’s internal controls documentation across business process cycles including narratives, flowcharts, and risk control matrices
  • Perform and prepare testing of internal controls for operating effectiveness
  • Develop, update, maintain, execute and review test plans for SOX controls and reporting
  • Evaluate control deficiencies and partner with business areas on creating action plans for issue remediation
  • Utilize a continuous improvement mindset and provide ideas to the team for improved efficiency/effectiveness

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA/CIA or CPA/CIA Candidate Preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working in Public Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Internal Audit
  • General understanding of financial/operating reporting, auditing concepts and practices
  • Strong Excel background  
  • Must be very detail oriented and have strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%)
