WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • Center Valley, PA

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases, and provide information about these rules to organization staff members and to vendors.
  • Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
  • Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
  • Perform buying duties as needed.
  • Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be ordered.
  • Prepare invitation-of-bid forms, and mail forms to supplier firms or distribute forms for public posting.
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
  • Manage Supplier Catalogues
  • Train and supervise subordinates, internal customer and other staff.
  • Contact suppliers to coordinate and expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other goods related problems as needed.
  • Track the status of requisitions and orders.
  • Perform PO closures and end of year reconciliations.
  • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Maintain purchasing system and update as necessary
  • Execute other initiatives as required and assigned by Leader

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Up to 3 years of experience needed
  • IPRO knowledge is desired.
