WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • Corning, NY

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide project management for capital projects, including development of project scope and budget, determining and securing project team members and obtaining project funding
  • Ensure the projects compliance with schedule, cost, safety, and other project specific deliverables such as those associated with product quality, equipment and process capability, machine and line rates, equipment uptime, etc.
  • Direct supervision of project team resources
  • Provide guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies
  • Identify and drive key decisions for such things as design, schedule, spending, vendor selection, etc.
  • Plan and direct schedules and budgets
  • Responsible for cost control and spending approval, this includes change order approval and scope change management
  • Monitor the project from initiation through delivery
  • Regularly interface with receivers and other key stakeholders
  • Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet objectives

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in industry or in a related field
  • Significant project management experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Projects
  • Conflict resolution, problem resolution and priority setting skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Matrix team leadership skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to deal with multiple priorities
  • Cost management experience
