WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide design drawings, estimating, planning, permitting, coordinating, and technical support for company projects.
  • The Senior Engineer will also participate in marketing and business development efforts to obtain new clients and projects for the organization.
  • The Senior Staff Engineer shall maintain appropriate relationships with client contacts in order to assure their satisfaction with work performed by the company and to further this work.
  • Plan, organize, direct and control activities relating to engineering and design activities performed by the company
  • Manage the activities relating to engineering and design work performed on assigned projects by the company including coordinating engineering efforts, consulting on design issues, estimating costs, obtaining proper permits, acquiring materials, staffing work, performing quality control inspections and closing out documentation and billings in a safe and efficient manner
  • Routinely meet with appropriate parties to verify that work is being performed in a productive manner and meets the requirements of the clients both internal and external.
  • Ensure that proper and accurate documentation is being maintained on each project, including time keeping, material ordered, and changes of scope and communicate this information on a timely basis to the appropriate authority
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, project planning meetings, project progress meetings and provide estimates for projects as required
  • Actively engage and/or assist in business development efforts necessary to further the goals of the company.

HOW ARE YOU QUALIFIED:

  • Five (5) year’s experience as a lead engineer, with at least five (2) years as lead engineer in Design/construction work, primarily in commercial work
  • Vastly knowledgeable in all aspects of commercial design, construction and associated codes and industry standards
  • Ability to multi-task and self-perform all aspects of the engineering and design discipline
  • Ability to self-perform intermediate drafting and CAD requirements per company standards
