WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • Basking Ridge, NJ

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Build content of the contract; negotiates terms.  
  • Focus more at a service level versus a transactional level. 
  • Conduct FMV analysis and clinical budgeting to support negotiations and ensure compliance with Sunshine Act. 
  • Manage all outsourcing activities from vendor assessment, selection, and negotiation thru to contract execution and follow-up on a service level.
  • Responsible for the development, preparation, and distribution of management reports on a timely basis.   
  • Work cross-functionally to understand the needs of mid- and senior management, and create new analysis and/or reporting packages that meet those needs. 
  • Keep track of the milestones payments scheduling.
  • Maintain Outsourcing & Procurement Management databases and spreadsheets including contract tracking, status reports, and vendor lists. 
  • Maintain the central files and tracking database containing the Vendor contracts and contact information. 
  • Establish Master Service Agreements and standardized budget templates. 
  • Determine potential needs for contract amendments and manage amendment execution.
  • Analyze clinical trial contracts and identify areas of concern and/or contention prior to obtaining formal legal counsel advice.
  • Act as liaison to legal counsel to resolve contractual/legal issues with vendors.   
  • Assist with the development of a sourcing strategy by spend category that reduces costs, speeds timelines and improves quality.

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Degree in Life Sciences preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in outsourcing, health sciences or related field (clinical trials).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to multitask; detail oriented; good organization skills.
  • Demonstrate expanded understanding of procurement principle legal language, and vendor selection criteria.
