WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Responsible for managing projects while providing leadership and mentoring other team members within the organization and department.
  • Performs lead project manager functions (Project Plan, Budget, Risks, etc)
  • Oversees a variety of project activities which would include the documentation of project scope, tasks and dependencies identified, the creation and update of project schedules, the creation and follow-up on communication plans, the establishment of risk identification and mitigation plans, the creation and tracking of budgetary documentation and post project historical documentation
  • Acts as a liaison between technical resources, division, and other functions to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Adequate experience in payroll, managing staff, teams and/or projects, with formal Project Management coursework.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key components of project management methodology, with the ability to manage multiple parallel projects, meet client deadlines and obtain measurable results.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills. Project Manager must be client-focused, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills; knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel and MSProject; expert working knowledge of multiple payroll related systems
  • Bachelors degree or relevant experience required
