WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

Summary:

Responsible for processing customer orders received via phone, mail, email and fax. Analyzes orders to ensure that proper part is ordered, determines warranty status of parts ordered, and whether defective parts should be returned. Processes all quote requests on a timely basis.

  • Analyze Customer Orders
  • Verifies accuracy of ordered part using manuals, prints, bill of materials, company's Parts Website, EBOM and McGuider software.
  • Determines proper substitute part, if necessary using engineering documentation.
  • Checks status of order parts using proper documentation.
  • Affixes prices to ordered part(s) based on material costs and labor hours.
  • Enters customer order into SalesPad/Foxpro
  • Analyze customer quote requests
  • Verifies part classification and provides selling price to customer.
  • Establishes prices for non-stock parts and provides delivery/shipping information.
  • Ensures that parts are shipped and advises customer of missed deliveries and re-schedules
  • Provides parts manuals and bulletins as requested.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general periodicals, technical procedures or government regulations.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally via telephone.
