WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • South Corning, NY

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Responsible for leading database development team to deliver projects within time and budget constraints whilst maintaining a strong eye for detail.
  • Provide input guidance on the design and implementation of data solutions for their particular development team
  • Remain accountable for project deliverables, schedules and quality
  • Serve an interface with IT and business partners on data warehouse development projects
  • Create, maintain, and optimize stored procedures, functions, inline SQL, database structures, and ETL processes to adapt to changes in needs and requirements
  • Review test results with business, complete final program documentation, and obtain approval for changes
  • Analyze and document how the business requirements fit into existing system
  • Work with IT management team on project priorities and deliverable timelines
  • Analyze issues independently, use judgement to make decisions, and take necessary action

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Minimum of a bachelors degree, computer science preferred
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of OpenText's Capture Center v16x.
  • Hands on development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSL and SQL.
  • Experience in Content Server Customizations using VB or C#.Net and/or Java
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug in assigned technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish effective relationships with team members.
  • Previous content server developer experience with enderstanding basic architecture and cyber security
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications to design and deliver optimum solutions for business needs.
  • Excellent understanding of developer and support processes including SDLC, project management and change management
  • Good project management and project leadership knowledge, experience doing some project leadership is desired.
