  • Evaluate new customer design drawings for JETCAM import
  • Review instructions and blueprints for projects and new product customer request
  • Create blueprints as needed for small to medium scale projects
  • Interface/run the JETCAM nesting software to queue orders for production metal fabrication
  • Interface/run metal tracking software to look at available inventory
  • Create production sheet rolling reports as a result of metal tracking and JETCAM tasks
  • Use SOLIDWORKS and/or AUTOCAD mechanical software daily
  • Work daily with production supervisor, mechanical engineer and customer service personnel
  • Perform quality control on a variety of metal and ceramic fabricated parts using blueprints and measurement tools
  • Sheet and roll inspections and roll inventory
  • Discuss changes with coworkers and collaborate with union operators on design ideas and ways to fabricate components as efficiently as possible
  • Assist facility process engineers with small to medium scale projects
  • Interact daily with union shop employees
  • Attend morning production meeting and report out status/updates as needed
  • Basic troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude skills
  • Operate various measurement tools, calipers, micrometers, and rules


  • Knowledge of mechanical software SOLIDWORKS/AUTOCAD
  • Able to operate various measurement tools, calipers, micrometers, and rules
  • Able to work in a team based environment and adapts to changing prioritizes
  • Possess an understanding of general mechanics and ability to apply it in troubleshooting and system design
  • Self-starter who is able to exceed expectations for their objectives and timelines with a minimal amount of supervision
  • Sound problem solving and decision making processes and skills
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, and customer focused
  • Must be able to take instructions and offer advice when it is needed
  • Must be able to clearly understand and follow instructions or, if they do not understand, ask their supervisors to explain

  • Required Education AAS degree in Mechanical Technology and/or AAS degree in CAD/CAM Technology
