WHAT YOU WILL DO:

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Strong mechanical or product design background
  • Proficient with SolidWorks (2014) 3D and Surface modeling along with detailing skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong 3D modeling skills
  • Surface modeling
  • Experience with GDT
  • BS Minimum
  • 5+ yrs. experience in machine, product or tooling design
  • Extensive knowledge of design principles including designing for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and product design
  • Easily design free form surface based products, fixtures and complex mechanical systems
  • Proficient with working with and modifying imported CAD models
  • Perform advanced CAD work including surface based designs with some fundamental stress and deflection analysis, create, design, check complex detail drawings, and leverage other resources
