WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Take direction from Management, Senior Engineers, and Senior Designers
  • Perform manual and computer aided drafting necessary to create mechanical drawings for the basic and detailed engineering of all plants
  • Take conceptual designs, sketches, and ideas from engineers and Senior Designers and develop the details necessary for a complete, engineered drawing capable of being used for purchasing, erection in the field, design analysis, etc.
  • Travel to job sites to perform analysis of existing equipment, piping routes, layouts, etc. for use in developing future plans and proposals.
  • Perform checking of mechanical drawings for consistency with conceptual ideas, design, sketches, etc. 
  • Be proficient in the use of computer aided drafting and design software such as AutoCAD
  • Assist Senior Designers and engineers by suggesting design changes that might improve the desired results of the design
  • Work as  team player with all company departments and employees in all assignments. Work toward building consensus on all assignments by finding solutions which meet the best interest of all parties involved.

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • A.S. Degree in mechanical discipline
  • Two years hands-on experience in a technical environment
  • Strong 3-D modeling experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with personal computer hardware/software.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally - 10%
