WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Oversees learning management system and policy and procedure standards for data input, program development, class registration, resource set-up, data retrieval 
  • Oversees the creation and organization of users and curricula within the learning management system, policies, and procedures 
  • Assists content owners to upload and test course content that will be added to the learning management system, policies and procedures 
  • Create learning objects in the learning management system for various training events 
  • Track and record training completion in the learning management systems and for policy and procedure training; identify and need for re-scheduling of training 
  • Maintain a process of continuous review, feedback and action to spot areas of opportunity, including the creation of SOPs and scripts to automate repetitive tasks if possible 
  • Develop and generate standard and recurring learning management system reports as well as build ad-hoc reports as needed for management, audit, etc 
  • Generates and reports post-training assessment results 
  • Monitors and responds to associate questions and issues in the training mailbox daily 
  • Develop, define, and adopt rules for new learning management system feature implementations and roll outs 
  • Assists with review, testing and implementation of learning management system upgrades or patches/fixes 
  • Supports and works closely with the Internal Training team to be familiar with the training curriculum 
  • Interfaces directly with corporate, and sister companies and, system administrators 
  • Responsible for scheduling the appropriate classroom and preparing the physical setup 
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned, dependent upon the workload and shifting responsibilities of the department 
  • All other duties as assigned 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Knowledge of learning management systems and other learning technologies 
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and best practices 
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
