WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • This is a multi-faceted role as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master for Institutional Projects. This person will be accountable to senior leadership for project schedule, budget, analysis and quality. The candidate acts as the single point for project communications to business management, executive sponsors and program steering committee, including escalation as needed. This role will gather and document stories, business use cases, functional and non-functional requirements and manage scrum sessions. They may be required to create functional requirement documents (FRD), complete all required reviews of the same and obtain user and technology approvals as per standard project methodology and governance; review and execute system test plans and test cases, review the test plans with user and technology stakeholders and obtain all necessary approvals; Candidate will be expected to work on both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • 10+ years of experience as a PM, Lead business analyst, Scrum Master or Combination of the 3.
  • 10+ years working in SDLC and Agile project development environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematical Finance, Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years within the Financial Services and IT industry required
  • 5+ years Clarity Project Management experience
  • Retirement Services 403(b) and or 401(k) background
  • Experience with Omni
  • Experience with translating IT requirements into business language, specifically around IT Technologies (mainframe, script, datastage, etc).
  • Experience with scrum/analysis tools (Jira)
  • Expert in the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

Desired:

  • Experience with reporting tools (OBI and Tableau)
  • PMP certification suggested but not required
  • Scrum certification suggested but not required
  • Successful record of project implementation and production support
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
