WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Serve as an essential team member of the Human Resources function with responsibility to support and educate employees and managers on corporate wide HR programs, functions and compliance.
    • Coaching managers in the supervision of employees and effective methods of development, including PIP development when necessary.
    • Coaching employees and managers on staffing practices; performance management; employee benefits;
      compensation decisions based on market salary; training programs; use of HR technologies; and other
      core HR functions.
    • Partnering with staff managers to ensure consistency with HR tools and practices, such as job descriptions and hiring practices. 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or management related function plus 8-10 years of progressively responsible HR generalist experience, including 5 years of managing an HR team (or equivalent background and experience).
  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of employment laws (e.g., ADA, FMLA, WARN, OWBPA, etc.)
  • Demonstrated situation analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills related to labor cost/impact analysis related to people plan models
  • Extensive computer skills in HRIS (including reporting), Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  SuccessFactors experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (orally and in writing) with and influence employees at all levels of the organization
