WHY THE ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Act as primary HR resource for 6 sites across an assigned region. Work with Plant leadership to provide HR guidance and support. Provide strong labor relations and union support.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.  Oversees thorough and objective investigations processes.
  • Engage talent acquisition team and participates in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Develop solutions for HR issues through analysis of trends and metrics in partnership with HR Team. Advise on employment programs and recommend needed policies or policy edits.
  • Possess a strong understanding of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • BA or BS degree plus a minimum of 5 years progressive experience across Human Resources including at least 3 years of management experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 40%
  • Previous Manufacturing and Labor Relations experience.
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor/ employment law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HR systems including performance management, compensation, benefits, employment, staffing, employee relations, and organizational change.
  • Knowledge of CPG industry or related verticals.
  • HR Certification (i.e. SPHR, SHRM-SCP)
