LOCATION

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Administer and manage the Drug & Alcohol program for both DOT and non-DOT covered employees
  • Partner with the appropriate leaders for required interface regarding the Drug and Alcohol Program
  • Partner with the Chief Pilot in the administration of the PRIA program
  • Administers all employee background checks
  • Serve as the primary DOT Designated Employer Representative (DER)
  • Facilitate and direct pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens as applicable
  • Management of program and third-party administrators (TPA)
  • Remain up-to-date on regulatory matters
  • Partner with the Director of Safety to establish appropriate audit and tracking procedures to ensure program compliance for Drug and Alcohol and PRIA
  • Conduct semi-annual audits and report findings; liaison with Safety Department to conduct quarterly audits as necessary
  • Review, draft and revise Company guidelines, manuals, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (i.e. DOT, and FAA)
  • Develop and provide training sessions and material to company personnel to ensure understanding of and compliance with government regulations and company policies
  • Build and maintain effective professional relationships

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of leading training and running background checks
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees
