WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Business Analyst will proactively address escalation support on difficult and recurring user incidents. Additionally, they will manage reporting and all electronic data exchange between external business partners and internal operational systems.
  • Lead internal functional teams in prioritizing and scheduling the delivery of B2B solutions that optimize their respective business functions
  • Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures when consulting with users to determine EDI business or system problems and solutions
  • Lead internal business teams in the identification and resolution of transactional production issues
  • Create training documents for internal teams on usage of daily EDI reporting tools and provide resources to allow financial business groups to resolve EDI billing discrepancies
  • Lead the software development team and external vendors in conducting impact analysis and version release support required to ensure data integrity pre- and post-release

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Adequate experience with exposure to Transportation Management Systems (TMS) applications
  • Experience with relational databases, TSQL query and data manipulation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends; occasional travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience. This includes the ability to work with nontechnical end users to explain technical concepts 
  • Strong and effective active listening, interviewing and facilitation skills 
  • Solid project and time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage customer expectations and proven ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
  • Prior experience with EDI transactions 204, 210, 214, 990, 322, 404 and other logistics transactions; experience integrating B2B solutions with business operations systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and system configuration (SC) is a plus
