Director of Operations- Direct Hire

Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)experience required

WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • Mooresville, NC

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible for strategic planning and annual budget planning and execution
  • Works closely with the production team to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operation.
  • Lead the development, planning, execution and preservation of manufacturing methods for company’s products and technologies
  • Ensures quality of the products are maintained as well as company and state safety guidelines are followed
  • Build and mentor employees and help them reach the targets: Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct employees to attain all established goals.
  • Ensure that equipment, materials and tools used are of the best quality and production standards are followed
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain staff to ensure quality products to meet and exceed consumer expectations
  • Communicates new strategies with R&D as well as product management to develop new product strategies and improve vendor/supplier relationships
  • Responsible for Purchasing for the entire company needs, seeks to constantly improve technology and implements cost effective processes.
  • Implements continuous improvement projects to ensure all the manufacturing processes are cost-effective

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma a PLUS
  • Experience in managing or implementing a customer solution software preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills needed and someone who can make quick, sound decisions
