WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  •  Partner with NA Marketing Commercialization to develop media plans that deliver upon business objectives in the region and attain alignment to these plans up through leadership 
  • Steward NA media investment to ensure the company is attaining desirable inventory at lowest possible cost, while keeping agencies & media partners accountable for transparency and brand safety
  •  Collaborate with top NA media partners to ensure the company is realizing value and creating business-building programs for brands 
  •  Develop internal knowledge base in digital marketing including digital media strategy, search, brand website, mobile, content, social, etc. 
  •  Provide expert consultation and executional guidance to Marketing teams on how to apply best practices in media planning and digital marketing 
  •  Primarily manage media agency relationship in NA and drive priorities for the region in the areas of planning and investment, while also ensuring integration across agencies for a unified plan 
  • Partner with CIBA (Consumer Insights & Business Analytics) to assess performance and generate future improvements of programs.
  •  Introduce NA Marketing to new media and technologies companies that can help solve business problems. Bring an experimental mindset to the company.
  •  Develop, continually refine and communicate best practices that can be shared cross-category and cross-market. 
  •  Develop and lead (with agencies and/or external experts) digital training for marketers 
  •  Integrate digital strategy into the overall marketing process, partnering with marketers and other cross-functional experts (Consumer Promotions, PR, Shopper Marketing, eCommerce, etc.) to drive an integrated approach and ensure the brand's strategy is appropriately realized in the digital space. 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 10+ years media planning/buying experience across all media forms, especially with deep expertise in digital 
  • Agency-side experience required with additional client-side desired 
  • Proven leadership in setting strategic direction and innovation in solving marketing issues 
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of consumer goods category 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment and a financial acumen 
  • Ability to develop deep collaborative relationships across multiple work groups and stakeholders 
  • Experienced in providing expert guidance for a broad range of digital marketing including search, brand website, mobile, content, social, etc. 
  • Ability to work well with others in both a team and leadership fashion 
  • Navigate with ease through ambiguity 
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong training /coaching skills
