WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Responsible for directing and controlling all aspects of manufacturing operations at 2 facilities
  • Build and maintain strategic plans for manufacturing network covering capacity planning, infrastructure requirements, cost containment, labor management and initiatives required for continuous improvement
  • Responsible for operations and managing best practices with a strong emphasis on production efficiencies and asset utilization
  • Ensure that the plants operate in a safe and sustainable manner and build a culture of continuous improvement utilizing lean principles in these areas
  • Drive quality performance, efficiencies and waste reduction through Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Manage COGS through cost control, material usage efficiency, labor utilization, quality performance, etc
  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
  • Effectively manage working capital and capital expenditure projects

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Minimum 4 year Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience
  • Strong ability to implement process improvements in the areas of lean manufacturing and quality
  • Ability to be a "hands on" educator who thrives on rolling up their sleeves and driving performance improvement from the factory floor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
