WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting problems, implementing solutions and monitoring the effectiveness of the databases that keep the firm running smoothly.
  • Build industry-changing applications for the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) industry
  • Design, install, configure, support and manage SQL servers and databases in clustered and standalone environments
  • Manage and test backup and recovery policies and procedures
  • Perform upgrades and patches to SQL Server databases
  • Proactively manage database support issues and take corrective actions
  • Oversee the scaling and availability of SQL Server databases

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering required
  • Prior database administration experience with SQL Server; strong SQL Server (preferably 2012) administration experience in a clustered environment
  • Experience with SSIS and SSRS
  • Expert in SQL Server performance tuning and query monitoring
  • Strong understanding of relational data modeling
  • Expert in T-SQL
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred but not required
  • Experience in a startup environment preferred
  • Golden Gate and/or SQL 2017 Linux experience
  • Experience with Microsoft SSAS and data warehouse design
