WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Assess credit worthiness of new and existing customers
  • Work to ensure bad debt is minimized and DSO is maintained at company standards
  • Review assigned accounts receivable aging and collect on past due balances
  • Reconcile transactions and balances to maintain accurate accounts
  • Initiate credits and adjustments to customer accounts within company policy limits
  • Identify problem accounts and provide regular updates of receivables and supporting documents to management
  • Identify accounts requiring collection agency or legal action and coordinate collections with the credit manager
  • Present violations and analysis of credit policies to leadership and suggest modes of action
  • Prepare legal documents used in the commercial construction industry (i.e.- pay applications, lien waivers)

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • 3-5 years in a credit, collections or customer service
  • Microsoft Office products and ERP system experience.
  • Has worked in the building trade or similar industry preferred but not required
