WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Responsible for business analysis activities in accordance with ABCs systems development methodology and supporting projects within a specific portfolio area (sales and marketing, supply chain, finance, etc.). 
  • Responsible for collecting, documenting, and confirming business requirements and functional specifications, with a specific focus on data requirements and data load activities for global offices. 
  • Work in close collaboration with business partners and developers to ensure consistent understanding of business processes and requirements. 
  • Define, develop, and deliver test plans and associated test case scenarios. 
  • Establish effective relationships with other ABC and IBM IT departments; builds and maintains effective business partner relationships, including stakeholders across the globe.
  • Assist with tasks and deliverables related to System Development Life Cycle phases for package and custom solutions. 
  • Attend and participate in user and project meetings and teams to expand knowledge, as a participant and not in a lead capacity; facilitates project status meetings; tracks own work as part of project status. 
  • Investigate and documents project issues and detailed requirements. 
  • Frequently interacts with IT staff including business area management, portfolio managers, vendors, consultants and other contractors. 
  • Some non-standard hour work may be required depending on timeline and target country. 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. 
  • Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant technical or business work experience. 
  • Requires working knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes. 
  • Minimum 3 years relevant technical or business work experience. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team / group setting. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Must have experience with data requirements and data load activities.
  • Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with computer hardware such as general mainframe, midrange, network and desktop technologies; computer software includes application development lifecycle, MS Office Suite and Outlook.
