WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Responsible for the weekly check distribution; average 300 invoices processed weekly
  • Codes clinical invoices with necessary patient information, description of CPT/HCPCS codes and appropriate rate per Medicare/Medicaid fee schedules and sends to the appropriate member of clinical leadership for approval
  • Codes operational invoices and sends to the appropriate member of leadership for approval
  • Main point of contact for vendor questions and/or concerns and responsible for positive vendor relationships
  • Maintains paper and electronic vendor files
  • Maintains sub-ledger detail for Account Payables
  • Posting of expense accruals to general ledger and reconciles liabilities accounts for month end financial close
  • Responsible for working directly with the Accounts Payable team to avoid workflow bottleneck
  • Responsible for working directly with the Accounting team and Manager to ensure monthly expenses are recorded timely and are accurately reflected in the monthly financial statements

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in accounts payable, preferably in a healthcare facility
  • Working knowledge of automated accounting systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to explain accounting functions to non-accountants
