WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Responsible for inspecting work produced at Manufacturing Associates sites and insure the quality and progress meets requirements
  • Assure quality records are properly compiled and maintained
  • Assist manufacturing staff with training and compliance procedures
  • Possess and maintain a strong understanding of AWS/ASME welding codes, abrasive blast finishes, paint finishes, and galvanized coatings
  • Conduct regular audits of Manufacturing Associates procedures
  • Conduct regular qualification audits on sub-suppliers used for part production
  • Coordinate quality inspections and assist with selection and qualification

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, and preferred in quality assurance/quality control dealing with welding and metal fabrication
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of industry codes and specifications (e.g. welding AWS/ASME, blast finishes and painting SSPC, and galvanize plating finishes)
  • Technical proficiency with math, prints, and drawings
  • Must be willing to travel
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector preferred
  • ASQ Certification preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish desired
