WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Lead month and quarter end P&L reporting, forecasting and analysis for Medical business; analyze and monitor actual financial performance against budget/forecast and prior year
  • Partner with supply chain finance and service centers to identify cost/profit drivers, provide recommendations for improvement proactively
  • Participate Global S&OP meetings and provide financial support to the overall process
  • Lead annual operating plan and STRAP exercises for Medical business
  • Develop financial framework to track trends / profitability by major customer and/or segments
  • Evaluate financial impact of business decisions, project economics for capital asset investment or research initiatives and contract negotiations
  • Evaluate the financial viability of capital investment proposals by creating and maintaining project financial modeling with NPV / IRR analyses
  • Interact with cross functional teams (marketing, sales, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.) to provide accurate and relevant value propositions
  • Assess risk levels with sensitivity analyses
  • Maintains unbiased financial objectivity in evaluating investment opportunities with a keen focus on increasing ROIC
  • Perform balance sheet analysis and forecasting as needed
  • Give financial coaching / training to the business team
  • Support SOX audits and compliance

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting required; MBA in Finance a plus
  • 8+ years of work experience in finance or related fields
  • Highly motivated individual with strong business interest and desire to act as a business partner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in working directly with senior management
  • Strong analytical skills including financial planning and working capital analysis
  • Quick learner and adapter
  • Effective, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with financial reporting systems, e.g. SAP, BW, HFM, etc.
  • Collaborative team player with team building skills
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel skills, Microsoft Access skills a plus
