WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Develop process flow diagrams
  • Develop gas, water, and solids mass and energy balances
  • Develop and oversee P&IDs, equipment lists, and line lists
  • Assign process data for control valves and instrumentation
  • Perform and document process calculations, develop standard calculation methods, and check calculations by other process engineers
  • Serve as Lead Process Engineer for a project, accountable for the project process design
  • Review logic diagrams prepared by E&I department
  • Lead Process Hazard Analysis reviews

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a technical environment related to chemical or steel industry
  • Ability to move around a project site, including climbing structures
  • Excellent writing skills and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Professional Engineering registration is highly desired
