WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Responsible for the life-cycle of Solid State Circuit Breakers (SSCB)
  • Work with vendors and product safety organizations to assure EMC requirements are met
  • Develop and execute product qualification plans
  • Design, simulation, stress and tolerance analysis of functional circuit blocks
  • Build and test of prototype systems
  • Support manufacturing process with test plans, on-sight troubleshooting, and build verification

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • 5+ years experience in hardware design
  • Schematic Capture and layout experience
  • FMEA experience for both system and component level evaluations
  • 480VAC 3 phase experience
  • Proficient use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers
  • Familiar with communication protocols including RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, I²C, SPI, etc.
  • Experience with embedded processor functionality and circuits
  • Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics
