WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Develop and implement Quality System Management program compliant with ISO 9001.
  • Train company personnel on quality procedures and resolve non-conformance
  • Write technical bulletins dealing with design and fabrication of equipment
  • Act as the primary technical consultant in all areas relating to quality of company equipment
  • Make effort to identify and implement manufacturing or design improvements
  • Oversee shop and field inspections to ensure adherence to company and customer specifications
  • Interface with leadership to evaluate and approve fabrication and machine shops as qualified supply partners

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or other specialized schooling in welding engineering or material science
  • 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality assurance or quality control dealing with welding and metal fabrication
  • Must be experienced with ASME's Boiler & Pressure Vessel codes
  • Knowledge of special alloy materials
  • Ability to travel 50% or more
  • Certification or Licenses in NACE, ASME, CMQ, CQE, AWS-CWI
