 WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Supports the technical aspect of product launches by guiding products through the stage gate processes, ensuring technical, quality, manufacturing, safety, and product compliance product requirements are met.  
  • Determines technical objectives and specifications for newly developed or purchased products and transfers knowledge and requirements to the Quality Team. 
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership support in product categories, providing technical expertise in the areas of films, foams, and rigid plastics including PVC, EVA, acrylic, polyethylene, polypropylene, and natural and synthetic rubbers
  • Manage product and reformulation change management processes while maintaining operating effectiveness
  • Continually improve quality of products while controlling costs. Provide data to identify and track progress and ensure team projects viability and approval are measured on these parameters
  • Communicate new product and competitive test data
  • Support internal customers by fielding technical questions and providing consumer-related technical information. (via knowledge of the products, interpretation of specifications, and understanding of SDS and TDS details)
  • Ongoing product, process, and supplier support; includes providing product recommendations and continuous improvements in product design, material, dimensional or manufacturing process changes to improve products and reduce costs

LOCATION:

PROFILE FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor’s degree chemical engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science or related technical field preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Project management experience required.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to interact with internal and external customers
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills including graphical data presentation, Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Project, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability in principles of Quality Control and statistical techniques
