WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

  •  Corning, NY

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT: 

  • Monitor a shared mailbox and manage requisitions being submitted by employees.
  • Enter Purchase Requisitions for Engineering, Operations and Quality groups into the PeopleSoft Finance system.
  • Provide customer support for requesters utilizing a standardized order form
  • Conduct basic quote review.
  • Process Purchase Order changes, order acknowledgements for designated suppliers, and invoice resolution
  • Communicate with suppliers in regards to purchase orders, invoicing, and pack slips.
  • Compile purchasing and spend metrics and organize in a monthly report.
  • Assist with procurement cost reduction projects.
  • Cross functionally work with logistics & transportation group
  • Prepare daily Shipping Memos and Customs forms for domestic and Internationals shipments
  • Prepare product invoices / value sheets for international shipments
  • Understand and adhere to Global Buying Policy.
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Associates degree in business or supply chain related field
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm, trustworthiness, integrity, and good work ethic.
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
  • Peoplesoft Finance or SAP experience preferred.
