WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • The Cloud Network Infrastructure Engineer will perform project related work supporting network infrastructure in on-premise and public cloud infrastructure.
  • The engineer will need to be able to work on multiple platforms performing routing, switching, security, and load balancing functions.
  • The position requires a candidate to be dynamic and work in an Agile environment: moving between multiple responsibilities including strategy, architecture, design, implementation, and operational handover.

Responsibilities:

  • An expert level knowledge of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Expert level knowledge of the following network routing protocols - BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN and their deployment on Cisco Nexxus 9K and ASR platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Advanced knowledge of Citrix Load Balancers.
  • Develop infrastructure as code on Azure and AWS using best practices and implementations for non-production and production environments.
  • Advanced level knowledge of automation frameworks such a Ansible, Terraform, or Python development experience.
  • Strong expertise at network documentation.
  • Ability to execute projects from gathering requirements, develop high level and low level design, develop and execute an implementation plan, and perform production handover.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, reliability, and reporting of global Cloud Data Centers and Enterprise networks.
  • Improve productivity in delivery orchestration, proactive monitoring, self-healing automation, and operation validations.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • 5+ years of experience in network architecture and engineering performing the functions of designing and developing robust and highly-scalable application delivery and cloud infrastructure services.
  • Strong background in Software Defined Networking.
  • Strong background with API scripting.
  • Understand Authentication & Authorization Services, Identity & Access Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Substantial background building and operating large-scale networks.
  • In-depth experience in the application of network design, including: knowledge of major protocols, topology design, network hardware, device configuration, and traffic engineering.
  • Proven track record of success conceptualizing and delivering engineering solutions to customers.
  • Hands-on experience with project management, preferably using Agile methodologies.
