WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Manage and supervise ME team to ensure timeliness completion of tasks and feedback throughout the organization
  • Coordination of tasks and projects that support other departments within the organization
  • Use of Lean Six Sigma tools to determine process standards and technology required to meet the quality and reliability objectives of finished product
  • Develop manufacturing methods by creating standard work, process routings, and cost analysis systems
  • Development and design of prototype tooling fixtures to ensure efficient production
  • Confers with vendors, staff and management regarding purchases, procedures product specifications, manufacturing capabilities and project status
  • Drafts and designs equipment and tooling from concept to design package using draft tools and computer aided designs

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in engineering sciences of manufacturing or industrial engineering
  • 8 Years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma manufacturing, Green Belt preferred
  • Computer Skills’; AUTOCAD, Solid Works and/or Pro-E, Microsoft Office and Outlook
