WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide expert level IT technical lead services, including the direction, evaluation, selection, configuration, implementation, and integration of new and existing technologies and tools in a cloud platform
  • Responsible for development of cloud tools & data services to support operations of Cloud infrastructure, provisioning, monitoring with (IaaS) and (PaaS) models
  • Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.
  • Expert with CI/CD delivery frameworks (e.g Jenkins), infrastructure as code software tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation), configuration management/orchestration tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible), and version control (e.g. GIT)
  • Accountable for developing operational tools to review metrics/scorecards for cloud platform. Develop appropriate GUI interfaces.
  • Manage the governance framework for DB-Services specific to private, hybrid and public cloud platform adhering to standards and integration with existing tools.
  • Partner/Collaborate and drive accountability with internal team and vendors.
  • Ability to anticipate technology changes within a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Build, release and configuration management of production systems.
  • Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
  • Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • Have a Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Have either an AWS Associate or Professional Certification

EXPERIENCE Required:

  • Minimum 10+ years of IT experience or equivalent professional experience with Programming/DBMS/Data Store experience
  • Have a Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS - With multiple AWS services beyond traditional IaaS. Familiarity with AWS Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, DMS data migration, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.) experience.
  • At least 2 years of infrastructure and database automation/programming capability using Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience in CI/CD tools (Chef, Ansible, or Puppet, Jenkins, Github, Git, Maven, Docker, Atom).
  • CI/CD pipeline setup utilizing either AWS services such as CodeBuild/Commit/Deploy or third-party tools such as ElectricFlow or Jenkins.
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated programming ability, skillset in designing and developing automation scripts (Python, Ruby, Chef, Groovy etc.)
  • Good to have experience in : Java, NodeJs, Powershell, Groovy, Front-end developer skillset. J2EE, .NET Framework, AngularJS, jQuery, AJAX, LINQ, JSON, GWT, Flex, Web Services, XML, HTML, CSS

Preferred:

  • Hands on experience with Java, Scala, C# or other language.
  • Strong Database and middleware experience in cloud and on-prem (eg. Oracle, MYSQL, PostGre, MongoDB, NodeJS, nginx, jboss, weblogic)
  • Strong compute, storage N/W, Linux, AD, NAS exposure
  • AWS Cloud Strategy: Business Case development, application assessment, and migration planning, Cloud Operating Model design
  • AWS Security: Compliance, Cloud Security Architecture, third-party security tools/platforms, encryption/KMS/CloudHSM, IAM policies/roles etc.
  • Cloud Native Application Architecture: AWS PaaS/SaaS services, Server less architecture, Lambda, API Gateway, Lightweight architectures including JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS/React) and single page web applications.
