WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:
• Charlotte, NC

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Supporting a mission critical UNIX based production application in a 7x24 environment.
• Perform analysis and research on Java/Spring code base and Oracle/DBMS system
• Develop scripts and tools to streamline production activities and automate tasks.
• Participate in code reviews and allocation of development staff across new project development, defect management and production support
• Influencing and leading the design and development of java based web services in a SOA
• Participate and drive operational improvements into development design sessions
• Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification
• Drive technical design improvements, create QA Test Cases and Operational support documentation
• Utilize and monitor internal performance monitoring for continuous improvement in code quality and delivery

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer/programmer with Java/ J2EE
• 3+ years solid experience supporting applications in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts, Design patterns and Spring Framework.
• Strong Database troubleshooting experience on Oracle database /RDBMS
• Experience working on projects using Agile methodologies
