WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • Hartford, CT 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Monthly/quarterly accounting responsibilities including, but not limited to:
    • Preparation of property/fund level financial statements.
    • NAV calculations.
    • Fund level returns.
    • IRR’s, equity multiples, investor distributions, management fee calculations, preparation of client financial statements and reports.
  • Close interaction with internal and external auditors and tax preparers.
  • Quarterly testing of property management company information (i.e. lease testing, late fee audits, management fee recalculations, etc.).
  • Responsible for identifying and researching any issues encountered while reviewing financial information received from the property management companies to ensure the clients are receiving the most accurate data.

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • BA/BS with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting.
  • A thorough knowledge of accounting principles to prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP utilizing the fair value method of accounting.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, willingness to be challenged and accept a broad range of responsibilities and the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
